This is almost a plateau at a height of almost 10000 Ft. hence it is the highest plateau where the civilian people live, in India. Ladakh is Sandwiched in between the Himalayan and Kunlun ranges and it also includesthe upper Indus River Valley, Leh is the main city in the region followed by Kargil. Khardung La Pass is the highest motorable road in the world, having a height of 18380 Ft., which is also a gateway to Nubra Valley and Siachen Glacier, Tanlang La pass in the second highest motorable road at the height of 17582 Ft., which leads from Leh to Manali through Rohtang Pass.
